When it comes to treadmills, there is one brand that is likely to come up again and again if you know a thing or two about indoor running on a machine: Peloton.

The American fitness company has made a name for itself for its cutting-edge bikes and treads since it was founded in New York in 2012.

With an impressive two treadmills that runners can choose from, thousands around the world (including myself with my recent debut marathon training block) have used the Peloton Treads to hit PBs, train and unlock new running milestones.

The three new treadmills — Peloton Tread Flex, its first folding treadmill, Peloton Tread Vision and Peloton Tread+ Vision — combine next-generation equipment with intelligent personalisation, so that you can level up each run, walk and hike.

The three new treads, when paired with powerful Peloton IQ capabilities and instructor-led content, will redefine the running category.

In the market for a treadmill but don’t have the thousands of dollars you think you need to spend or the space to store one in your apartment?

Meet Peloton Tread Flex.

Peloton’s most affordable treadmill features a first-ever folding design, meaning you can store it away every time you need to use your living area.

For members who refuse to let space limit their training, the Tread Flex compacts by nearly 50 per cent, meaning you can quite literally store it anywhere.

Fantastic features you can expect with this $2,195 USD (AUD $3,499) option include the ultra-quiet brushless motor, which peaks at only 70dcB even at max running speeds of 12.5 miles per hour.

Nor only this, but it’s neat and stylish, meaning it’s perfect for apartment dwellers as well as those with home gym space.

The Peloton Tread Flex will be available in North America from October 1 2026, and in Peloton’s other markets like Australia in the autumn 2027.

Built for runners seeking an even more personal running companion, meet Peloton Tread Vision.

Peloton Tread Vision features a new cushioning system for greater comfort and convenient jump buttons to support the Member through rigorous training, recovery and every stage in between.

One of the best features of this new treadmill is the movement-tracking camera which provides post-run form insights on the tread and corrects your lifting form on the mat.

There is also an impressive ReRuns feature, which syncs GPX data from your Peloton outdoor runs or connected wearable, and allows you to recreate your favourite runs or races on the treadmill.

This particular model will be available in North America from October 1 2026 for USD $3,495 (AUD $4,999).

Each product in the new tread lineup is equipped with a swivel screen to explore complementary modalities, an intuitive rolling knob design to make in-class speed and incline transitions seamless, and is powered by Peloton’s AI-enabled operating system, Peloton IQ, for more personalised training and dynamic coaching.

The jewel in Peloton’s running crown, the Peloton Tread+ Vision is the ultimate training partner, pairing an incredibly soft, energy-returning slat belt with Peloton IQ-powered insights, including a movement-tracking camera that delivers personalised feedback.

Recently got into HYROX and want to train for a race? There’s a training functionality called Sled Mode for that with a push weight of up to 300 pounds.

With the Peloton Tread+ VIsion, members can get a full-body workout without stepping off the tread.

Tread+ VIsion will be available in North America from Ocotber 1 2026, with an RRP of USD $6,695 (AUD $9,404).

Instructor’s POV

Speaking to 7You about the new treads, leading Peloton instructor Susie Chan explained that she has been training on the Tread Vision, and has found numerous features which have elevated her workouts.

“For example, the updated deck cushioning with internal dampeners, which help protect your joints during training, have been gamechangers,” she tells 7You.

“In addition, the changes we’ve made to the jump buttons now make it even easier to change speed and incline during class.”

One of Susie’s favourite features is the impressive movement-tracking camera.

“The camera unlocks two experiences: Run Analysis and Form Feedback in strength workouts,” she explains.

“Run Analysis allows Peloton IQ to analyse your cadence (steps-per-minute), Vertical Oscillation (how much you’re bouncing up and down while running), and Stride Length.

“With all these metrics, we can calculate a member’s Vertical Ratio, which explains how much energy is used to move up and down vs forward during a run.”

Susie says what she especially likes about Run Analysis is how easy it was to set up, requiring only a one-time calibration.

“When you’re taking a class, the camera tracks your run, but it’s happening in the background meaning you don’t see yourself on the screen nor do you receive form tips during the work out,” she says.

“This ensures it doesn’t feel too overwhelming and you can focus on the class we’re coaching and the music. At the end of class, you can then see your Running Efficiency score in workout history as well as helpful form tips for next time.”

The other feature that she’s excited about with the Tread Vision is ReRuns.

“This feature syncs GPX data from your Peloton outdoor runs or connected wearable and allows you to recreate your favourite outdoor run routes on the treadmill no matter the weather outside!” Susie says.

“You control the experience in the workout so you can take the route at whatever speed you like and, when you hit an incline along the route, the tread will automatically incline.”

Finally, the new IQ Pace Targets feature means you can set personalised target speed ranges for every interval based on the Peloton member’s recent running performance, backed by Peloton IQ intelligence.

Seamless integration with your wearabel — whether it’s an Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin or Whoop — is also included, meaning you can always track how you are going.
