I love getting an inside look at celebrities’ homes, seeing what they’ve done with their seemingly unlimited income to bring a space to life. Some are glamorous, others admittedly garish, and still others understated and cool. I recently watched Jennifer Garner’s Los Angeles home tour for Architectural Digest, and it falls in the latter category. It’s so effortlessly elegant — I want to move in.
Garner worked with famed architect Steve Giannetti and designer Brooke Giannetti to build her dream farm-style home and enlisted designer Laura Putnam to decorate. One thing that stands out? Her use of the color blue. She has a light blue velvet sofa, blue dining chairs, a deep blue TV room and more. It gives the space a refreshingly cool, calm, cozy feel without looking too matchy-matchy or feeling stuffy.
If you want to try the trend, you can add blue accents to any space in your home — or if you’re redecorating, use Garner’s color palette as a starting point. Take a look at some of my favorite true-blue finds for inspiration.
